We are Mulready Philatelics and have been dealing in classic Great Britain and World stamps and postal history for 25 years. The Buyers Premium for our auctions is only 10% + VAT and this will include the Easy Live Auction fee. Viewing for this auction will be at York Stamp Fair on 16 January 10am-5pm and 17 January 10am-3.30pm

We attend all major UK and some International Shows. We specialise in GB line-engraved, pictorial envelopes and the more unusual and interesting sides of philately. We also deal in classic stamps and covers of the world, Commonwealth and Foreign.

We are PTS Gold members.

All bids must be made in British Pounds (£ Sterling)

The Buyers Premium is 10% plus VAT.

The submission of a bid form, or the placing of a bid, is a contract between the bidder and Mulready Philatelics to purchase all lots where the bid is successful except when the bidder has indicated a total spending limit or other instruction which has not been applied.
At the end of the auction, the highest bidder acceptable to the Auctioneers shall be the Purchaser and any dispute shall be settled by the Auctioneers, whose decision shall be absolute and final. 'The Auctioneers' refers to Mulready Philatelics.

The Auctioneers may divide, combine, add or withdraw lots and make any catalogue alterations without notice. They shall regulate advance bidding, accept or reject any bid at their discretion and without consultation and bid on behalf of the Vendor where there is a reserve price or at their discretion.

The Auctioneers shall not be responsible for default on the part of Vendors or Purchasers. Any resultant deficiency, together with interest, cost and expenses, shall be made good by the defaulter, recoverable as and for liquidated damages. The Auctioneer, in appropriate circumstances, will enforce a Sale Contract at the fall of the hammer unless there are reasonable circumstances which would seem to indicate otherwise.

Any claim under any Statute must be received in writing within 10 days of the Sale.
PURCHASERS
At the end of the auction, all lots shall be and remain, in every respect, at the absolute risk of the Purchaser, including those of fire, burglary, damage etc.

The Auctioneers are prepared to accept commission bids on behalf of Purchasers providing requests are made in writing and up to half an hour before the commencement of the sale and given to the Auctioneer or the Auction Rooms Manager. This service is made at the purchaser’s own risk and the Auctioneer cannot accept liability for failure to receive and/or place any such bids.
Payment should be made within 7 days upon notification of success.

Late payments may result in additional charges and affect your rights to return lots for a refund. Payments by credit card will ensure a speedy despatch. There is no extra charge for paying by credit card. Accepted forms of payment are credit or debit card, bank transfer (fees to be paid by the purchaser) and cash. Cheques may also be sent if drawn on a UK bank account.
Mulready Philatelics shall not be liable for omissions or errors made by clients when submitting bids.

Any dispute as to who is the Buyer of any particular Lot shall be settled by Mulready Philatelics in its absolute discretion.
Any Bidder at this Auction will be deemed to be bidding on his or her own behalf and will be held personally liable for that bid unless Mulready Philatelics has previously agreed in writing that any Bidder bids on behalf of a disclosed third party ("Principal") who is acceptable to Mulready Philatelics. In the latter circumstance, the Bidder shall act as Agent on behalf of the Principal and the Agent and Principal shall be jointly and severally liable for the bid.

Without prejudice the Auctioneer may at any time before the Buyer for a particular Lot is accepted in his or her absolute discretion:
(a)reject any bid at any time without assigning any reason for so doing; or
(b) in the event of a dispute between Bidders, or a mistake made by Mulready Philatelics before or during this Auction, either continue the bidding for the Lot or stop the bidding and offer the Lot for auction again. If any Lot is offered for Auction again, all previous bids shall cease to apply, provided always that the Auctioneer may in his or her absolute discretion re-execute any bids from Absentee-Bidders.

If two or more Absentee-Bidders bid the same price for a particular Lot and that price is the highest bid received by Mulready Philatelics in respect of that Lot, then without prejudice to Mulready Philatelics ultimate discretion in relation to any Lot, the auctioneer shall sell the Lot to the Absentee-Bidder from whom such bid was first received by a duly authorised representative of Mulready Philatelics.

Mulready Philatelics gives no warranties or guarantees to any Bidder and any implied warranties or conditions are excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law. In particular, Mulready Philatelics excludes all liability and/or responsibility in any way to any Bidder for any loss or damage directly or indirectly as a result of: any representation, description, report or valuation in relation to the quality or authenticity or value of any Lot; or any error or omission (including any negligence) on the part of Mulready Philatelics, or any other loss or damage arising from these Conditions, this Catalogue, the sale and purchase of any Lot or otherwise.

To the extent that Mulready Philatelics is found liable to any Bidder, such liability shall be limited to the Hammer Price and the Buyer’s Premium.
Mulready Philatelics may in its absolute discretion refuse to Register any Bidder (including any Absentee Bidder) if that Bidder fails to provide to Mulready Philatelics upon request proof of identity and in a manner suitable to Mulready Philatelics. and at least five working days before any Bidder intends to bid, such credit references as Mulready Philatelics requires in a manner suitable to Mulready Philatelics.

Return of Lots: Our 'no quibble' returns policy allows for a lot to be returned for a refund. To qualify the lot in question must be despatched back to Mulready Philatelics within 7 days of receipt by the buyer in ‘as sold’ condition and presentation, if shipment cannot be made within this period Mulready Philatelics must be informed via email or telephone and in any event we must receive the lot back at our offices within 28 days of the sale close date.
Returned lots from overseas to qualify for a refund must be returned by airmail or carrier and have “RETURNED GOODS/VALUE £” clearly marked on the outside of the package together with VAT number GB208857385. Also add the Tariff code/HS code for philatelic material which is 97040000. If possible a phone call or email should precede the return.

Returned lots from EU countries must be sent by airmail or registered mail and have ‘RETURNED GOODS’ clearly marked on the outside of the package together with EORI number GB012333280000 Also add the Tariff code/HS code for philatelic material which is 97040000. Please include a note stating your name, the lot number(s) and the reason for return. If possible a phone call or email should precede the return.

An overdue account service charge of 5% will be charged on overdue accounts not cleared after 30 days then at the rate of 2% per month. Any dispute as to the meaning or operating of these terms and conditions shall be determined conclusively by Mulready Philatelics, P.O.Box 9866, Poole BH15 9LD.

DESCRIPTION OF LOTS
All items in any Lot are sold with all faults and imperfections and errors of description. Illustrations in this Catalogue are for identification only. Bidders should satisfy themselves prior to this Auction as to the condition of each Lot. Any statement by Mulready Philatelics as to the Lot in this Catalogue or elsewhere is a statement of opinion only and each Bidder should rely on his or her own judgement as to all matters regarding the Lot.
Mulready Philatelics are not responsible for any error in the description of any Lot or for the authenticity of any Lot or for any mis-statement as to any matter affecting the Lot. Mulready Philatelics do not make or give any warranty or representation in respect of any Lot. All implied conditions or warranties are expressly excluded.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The copyright and all other intellectual and proprietary rights in any descriptions, illustrations, photographs or other material relating to any Lot is the absolute property of Mulready Philatelics and no person shall be entitled to copy or use the same without the express prior written permission of Mulready Philatelics.
The Buyer acknowledges and accepts that Mulready Philatelics is entitled to use any photographs, illustrations and/or descriptions of any Lot which the Buyer has purchased as Mulready Philatelics sees fit and whether or not in relation to this Auction.
There is a flat rate postage charge of £3.00 on all sales (unless otherwise stated on the lot).
